The best day ever-- and one of my favorite pictures!
As you've probably guessed, I'm the "Tortoise" of the two of us-- I'm an artistic and deep feeling type, so running has become really emotional for me! It clears my head, and gives me tangible goals to look at and reflect on (and blog about!). Seeing and feeling the changes in my body are my inspirations every day-- feeling better, and having little to no issues from my joints is awe inspiring.
The Hare is the cool headed, data loving (well, we both love pretty graphs and charts) engineer who so patiently and lovingly slows his pace to stick with me when I get discouraged. Above all, we cross the finish line together!
Together we are a great team, and are looking forward to our future, both in running and the rest of our lives as well!
She isn't mentioned as much here, but we have a "cheerleader" at home too-- she stretches with us after every run, greets us at the door with the same excited abandon whether we go for 2 miles or 10, and is always doing so with a smile. No, it's not a child, well, it's the four legged variety! This is Stella, our 3 year old Pekingese mix. She isn't built to run with us, but she is a fantastic morale booster and joy every day.
She has the biggest smile!
